Burst potential skill maps, comparing S1 and S2

The maps below compare the Symmetric Extremal Dependence Index (SEDI) skill score for two combined hindcast dates (1st and 16/17th of the month) from ACCESS-S1 and ACCESS-S2, for a burst event to occur in the week or fortnight periods. The hindcast period is 1990-2012. Average SEDI over northwest Australia, northeast Australia and southeast QLD are shown.
